Spring at the Roman Camp Hotel

After COVID restrictions and a stormy winter it’s great to get back to normality with Spring sunshine and longer days. We have a new chef in our Potting Shed Bistro, Robert Czuba, who has over 20 years’ experience and new ever-changing menus – full of the very best local Scottish seasonal produce. Outside dining will be available (weather permitting) throughout the Summer with views over the gardens and the River Teith.

The gardens are beautiful at the moment with huge blooms of rhododendrons set against a patchwork of spring greenery – a lovely time to come to visit us.

For those who like fishing, the season has got off to a good start on the River Teith with salmon already being caught on the Callander beat, the Forth beat, Lanrick and Cambusmore. Residents can fish the hotel beat free of charge but please let us know so we can book you in. We can also find you a variety of salmon and trout fishing within 40 minutes drive as well as an experienced and knowledgeable ghillie.

Callander golf course is only a short 4 minute walk from the hotel. This beautiful 18 hole course is set in stunning countryside. We can arrange green fees and this year we are providing the 19th hole refreshment services whilst the clubhouse is being rebuilt.

Come and visit us and experience the splendour of the Trossachs in a truly romantic and authentic Scottish hotel.
