Cycling and Canoeing

Cycling in the national park can be as beautiful and challenging as you would like it to be. Meandering along the village cycle path on the converted old railway line you can head north all the way to Strathyre, Crianlarich and the highland way. There are also mountain bike trails in forests around the village and access to these is easy. We can arrange bike hire delivered directly to the hotel. For canoeists there is a whole world of adventure on our doorstep with many large lochs and rivers stretching across the national park.

Winter Shooting and Stalking Parties

The Roman Camp was first built as a hunting lodge and retains much of the atmosphere that those early sportsmen and women must have experienced a century ago. With notice, shooting and stalking can be arranged by the hotel with local landowners. We also do winter packages for shooting and stalking parties.
