Where do we begin.... Thank you very much for making our wedding day at Roman Camp Hotel so very special. We enjoyed every second of our festive winter wedding and have fabulous memories of the four days which felt like a family house party. From the moment we discovered Roman Camp Hotel we knew we had found an absolute gem of a hotel and it lived up to all expectations from beginning to end. We must admit staying a couple of nights in November to finalise plans and get to know the staff and hotel made a big difference and allowed us to settle in the minute we popped our heads through door. Shona?s organisational skills on the lead up to as well as on the day were exceptional and allowed us to relax and enjoy the time to the full. Your attention to detail and thoughtfulness throughout our whole stay made everything extra special. You gave excellent contacts for us to use and all were wonderful. Oh and as for the day itself ? perfect, memorable, magic, romantic... we could go on and on. The atmosphere with the Christmas trees, log fires, candles etc. provided a marvellous setting and it did not matter what the weather was outside. This was just as well as when guests walked through the door from howling gales and rain they were greeted with roaring log fires and such a warm welcome. The ceremony in the library conducted by Rev Richard Grosse said it all and being able to slip into the secret chapel for signing the register added another intimate touch we so appreciated. The wedding afternoon tea and wedding breakfast were first class and full praise to the chef and his team - deserving of every one of their 3 AA rosettes. Everyone is still talking about the marvellous food and wine and one of the main reasons we chose Roman Camp Hotel. Ian Milligan and his band were fantastic and the band seemed to enjoy it too as our guests all ?danced their socks off? as Ian put it! The ceilidh music was well chosen and Ian adding in personal touches to the lyrics as he sang was so funny... Our guests are singing the hotels praises and saying how it was such a warm, happy, friendly, relaxed wedding and summed up again and again by one word ? perfect. Please pass on our sincere thanks to all the staff. Roman Camp will always hold a very special place in our hearts and we know we shall be back to visit regularly. We wish you all the best for 2012.

Just returned from a fabulous weekend here. We loved our stylish bedroom with original features, especially the brand new and very modern bathroom. The dinner was outstanding as was the service. We have a golden retriever and I use a wheelchair so we are not the easiest of guests but my dog was made very welcome and the wheelchair could cope with the narrow and twisting original corridors. I have already recommended it to friends and I hope to return some time soon.

Great deal stay 2 night, fab, fab, fab. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. We travel to holtels every mont, Marhall, Cameron House, auchranne Hotel Arran, Turnberry, Fairmont St Andrews, I could go on and on but the Roman Camp was just great in every way, food, rom service - top class. Thank you.

Perfect venue for our daughter's wedding last weekend. Weather was fantastic and drinks by the river set the scene for the rest of the day. Delicious meal served by very friendly staff. Service was excellent throughout the day. Wedding guests loved the venue too.

The Roman Camp Hotel is the standard by which all other wedding and events venues should be measured. Professional service, impeccable food and wines, friendly and inviting as well as being reasonably priced too. This IS the Wedding venue par excellence!

We chose The Roman Camp for our wedding reception two years ago and have returned each year for our anniversary. We have both stayed in some of the world's best hotels but have yet to find anything which equals the quirky charm and magical ambiance of this hotel. It remains fondly in our hearts as our "special, secret place".

Thank you so much for making our wedding day in May so special. Even though its months later our guests still comment on on the fantastic venue, flowing drink, plentiful food and exceptional staff. We had our ceremony outside by the river and it really was a day to remember. We have just booked to come and stay for our anniversary and have made a pact to continue to come. A huge thanks to everyone for making our day so special and memorable.

This is our third visit, we now rate Roman camp our favourite hotel. Having been delayed in Oban because of the weather his was a welcoming port in the storm.

Just to say that I was bowled over by the charm of the hotel yesterday and have been coming for over 47 years! It's the real fires that make it wonderful in this day and age. Keep them burning!
